Why We Built This Site
Minnesota provides public access to many court and government records, but the correct office depends on the record type. Koochiching County District Court is the trial court for civil, criminal, traffic, family, juvenile, probate, and conciliation cases. Court Administration at the courthouse manages case access and copy requests. The Koochiching County Recorder is separate and handles marriage records, land records, vital-record registrar work, passports, and notary commission recording. The Sheriff's Office and Law Enforcement Center handle jail and law-enforcement records. This site brings those official paths into one local reference point.

This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to Koochiching County, Minnesota courts, the Sheriff's Office, the Recorder, the Minnesota Judicial Branch, or any federal court. There are real limits to what we can help with:

- We cannot issue certified copies of any court document or vital record
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, address, or search result is current right now
Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. The document has to come from that office.
